Basel, Switzerland - Part 2

We had a beautiful day in Basel!
Clear and sunny - We walked everywhere. We started with a walk to the Tinguley museum.

Tinguley was an artist who believed art was best in motion so he primarily created sculptures that moved.

A lot of them had buttons you could press for them to work.

He had a sense of humor so they had great details like this...

Here’s one that has a mirror so we’re part of the art as well!

This is a recreation of a bar he designed with moving chandeliers.

After the museum we walked back along the Rhine to find some lunch and we took in a regatta.

After lunch we walked up to a gorgeous little park and the music museum - The museum was once a former prison so you’re looking at all these instruments and then there’s a former cell - Then back to instruments.

They also had a jukebox with real 45s!

We walked to see the Tinguley fountain...

But it’s closed for restoration - It reopens Monday!
Did I get cha?

Then it was time for a rest - And a beer.
We listened to a band warm up for over an hour - It got a little frustrating.

We went to dinner (fondue!) and then walked back to our hotel.

We couldn’t call it a night until I pretended to be a camel.

Done!
See you tomorrow!
